BOTOX® Cosmetic in Eugene, OR
When our facial muscles contract, they create dynamic expression lines that appear and disappear as your face moves. Over time, dynamic expression lines can become permanent, with creases or wrinkles etching their way into your face.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is an injectable cosmetic treatment that can be used to smooth out dynamic wrinkles by relaxing the muscles that create them, causing lines to diminish dramatically or disappear for a younger, wrinkle-free look.
The professional physician injectors at Aesthetic Plastic Surgery are knowledgeable and experienced in administering BOTOX® Cosmetic for smoothing out dynamic wrinkles. In addition to BOTOX® Cosmetic, our highly trained injectors offer a wide range of other non-surgical facial rejuvenation options to help women and men enjoy a fresh, revitalized appearance.
“I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your excellent work. Karla is so happy with the results as well and anytime someone talks about ‘Plastic Surgery’ she says ‘Dr. Daniel is my plastic surgeon’ LOL! Thank you so very much!”
Combining Treatments
Depending upon your specific goals, a combination approach may offer you the best results. Some people use BOTOX® Cosmetic to address the upper face while selecting a dermal filler such as JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC, JUVÉDERM®, or RADIESSE®, to target areas around the mouth, lips, and cheeks that look aged due to volume loss rather than dynamic expression.
By combining carefully selected non-surgical treatments, you can experience optimal results. Anyone hoping to reduce the appearance of lines or wrinkles on their upper face may be a candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic. However, BOTOX® Cosmetic injections are not recommended for nursing or pregnant women.
Your BOTOX® Cosmetic Procedure
A BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment is quick and relatively painless. It typically takes no longer than 10 to 15 minutes and feels like a slight pinprick. Your physician will determine which facial muscles in the forehead and around the eyes need to be targeted. A very thin needle is then used to inject BOTOX® Cosmetic into the specific muscles, causing them to relax.
The number of injections needed will depend upon your facial anatomy and the areas that require treatment. The end result is smooth-looking skin and a reduction or disappearance of lines and wrinkles.
It can take seven to ten days after treatment to begin seeing results, and you can expect to see your final results after about two weeks. The results of BOTOX® Cosmetic can last up to four months. To maintain your smooth, more youthful appearance, you may choose to repeat treatments once you notice the effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic begin to fade. Some patients report that after several treatments, the effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic appear to last longer.
Healing Process after BOTOX® Cosmetic Injections
BOTOX® Cosmetic is what is known as a “lunchtime procedure,” meaning you can simply walk in and walk out, and no downtime is necessary for recovery. It is important to avoid rubbing, massaging, or compressing the treated area for several hours after your appointment.
