The “liquid” comes in because so many of these treatments come in a liquid, injectable form, but there is actually a wide variety of nonsurgical treatments that you can mix and match to create your desired effects.
1. Thermage®
Thermage® is a noninvasive procedure that smoothes and tightens the skin using radiofrequency waves to stimulate collagen production. One of the best benefits of Thermage® for a nonsurgical facelift is that the treatment can improve some skin sagging, making this an excellent option for improving an aged appearance.
2. BOTOX®
BOTOX® Cosmetic is one of the most common anti-aging treatments. The temporary injectable relaxes facial muscles to smooth out the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. Many men and women include BOTOX® in their regular spa regimen, repeating the treatment every 3 to 6 months.
3. Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers can restore lost volume in the face and lips to create more youthful contours and even minimize the appearance of scars. Dermal fillers are frequently combined with BOTOX® for the best results.
4. Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is an exfoliating treatment that sloughs away dead skin cells from the surface of the face to reveal the smoother, more evenly toned complexion underneath. Microdermabrasion can improve acne scars, sun damage and fine lines, and can be repeated every month as needed.
5. Chemical Peels
Chemical peels use plant and sugar acids to remove dead skin cells and exfoliate the skin. Chemical peels can improve uneven pigmentation, rough skin texture, scars, sun damage and age spots. Many patients combine chemical peels and microdermabrasion to achieve their clearest and smoothest facial appearance.
