The patient is a 46-year-old who presented to discuss abdominal contouring with Dr. Daniel. She is 5’4″ tall and weighs 168 pounds. She wanted improvement in the extra skin, but also in some of the fullness in her waist and hips. As such, Dr. Daniel planned an abdominoplasty with abdominal wall muscle tightening and then feathering liposuction into the hips and the waist. Almost 4 1/2 pounds of abdominal skin was removed with just under two pounds of liposuction being performed as well. Postoperative photographs are at seven months. Again, it typically takes twelve months or so for incisions to fully fade. Front view shows the dramatic changes. The lateral views show the improvement in the hips and overall abdominal contours.
