The patient is a 25-year-old mother of a two year old and a five year old. She had had two previous abdominal surgeries including a scar to the right of her bellybutton in the midline of her abdomen. She disliked her contours and fullness and discussed her concerns with Dr. Daniel who recommended an imbricating (abdominal wall tightening) abdominoplasty. Dr. Daniel also pointed out that she had some fullness in the hips that could be made better with feathering liposuction. As such, she underwent those procedures. A full eight + pounds of abdominal skin was removed and a little over 2 1/2 pounds of liposuction removed from the hips. 11-month postop photographs are shown.
